Origin Story
I have always been a big fan of superheroes. As a kid, superhero cartoons defined my Saturday mornings. In class I would doodle the characters in my notebooks, daydreaming about having superpowers of my own.

As I grew older, I got into table top roleplaying games. In particular, a certain 'world's greatest' roleplaying game caught my attention. I tried a couple of other game systems, but none of them could dethrone the king - until I played Blades in the Dark for the first time.

Blades in the Dark quickly became my favorite TTRPG. My gameplay experience was defined by fast action and creativity, and the sessions were never bogged down by an abundance of rules and complex mechanics.

That game, as well as other excellent Forged in the Dark games like Scum and Villainy, inspired me to write my own hack. Combining the fiction-first gameplay of Blades in the Dark with the high-flying action of superhero media makes Capes in Crisis an exciting experience.
